Dot NAME Domains

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME universal top-level extension is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are popular by. At the beginning, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to register john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased third-level domain names remained working.

Through our firm, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to change the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no specific stipulations on who can reserve a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the goal behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
