FTP Manager
Find what an FTP Manager is actually and why it’s useful to get one when building a site.
The simplest way to give a third-party access to the web files in a certain folder is to set up an FTP account and to specify website content access limits concerning your web hosting space. If you use the services of a web designer, for instance, they will not obtain access to any other files or any personal data within your hosting account. You can also create separate FTP accounts to maintain a number of Internet sites built with a desktop web design app such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver – each website can be uploaded and later edited using an FTP account that has access to its own website folder on the server. All these things will be possible provided that you’re able to create and manage your FTP accounts without any effort.

FTP Manager in Cloud Hosting
The Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which comes with each of our
Linux cloud hosting, offers a functionality-loaded FTP Manager that will give you complete control over all FTP accounts within your web hosting account. Creating or removing an account takes literally just a single mouse click and all the accounts that you’ve got at a given moment will be displayed alphabetically, so you can swiftly find the one that you want. You will also be able to see what directory a specific account can access and by clicking it, you can change it. If you would like to access your hosting space using an FTP software application like Core FTP or FileZilla, you can download an auto-config file for any of the FTP accounts and run it on your PC – the account in question will be set up without you having to do anything manually yourself. In addition, you can see the full list of all the domains or sub-domains which you can use.

FTP Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Our
semi-dedicated server accounts are administered from the intuitive, custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel. One of its sections – the FTP Manager, is dedicated to managing your FTP accounts and everything associated with them, so you will be able to manage all the accounts swiftly and easily. It will take a single click to set up a brand-new account, to delete an active one or simply to edit its password. You can also see the full list of all your FTP accounts in this section of the Control Panel and, for the sake of convenience, you can sort them in alphabetical order – descending or ascending, either by their access path or by username. Modifying the path for an account is also pretty easy – you will simply have to click on it and select the new folder in the pop-up that will show up, so you will not have to set up a whole new FTP account in case you simply want to define what files an existing one can access. You can also take advantage of auto-config files for famous FTP client programs such as FileZilla and Core FTP.
