Multiple OS
Learn which Operating Systems you can actually run on your server.
Each and every PC or web server is run by an Operating System - the low-level software that interacts with the hardware equipment, including peripheral devices such as a mouse and a printer, and any applications that are installed on your system. Any program input using a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is processed by sending an Application Program Interface (API) request to the Operating System. On a server, each application runs within the parameters established by the OS as well - priority, physical memory, processing time, and so on. This is valid for both standard website scripts and server-side software such as a media server. When a virtual server is generated on a physical one, there can be two separate Operating Systems, referred to as guest OS and host OS, so you'll be able to set up a different software environment on the same machine.

Multiple OS in VPS Hosting
In case you select one of our
virtual private server packages, you will have as many as 3 different Operating Systems to pick from - CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu. They're all Linux releases and we offer them rather than offering just a single OS, as the apps that you may wish to run on the server may have specific requirements for the software environment. Each one of these three has some pros in terms of the available plans that you could later install, but what is common between them is that they're really stable and reliable and have vast communities that support them. The internet hosting Control Panel options for the VPS accounts depend on your OS choice, in order to provide you with more flexibility. In case you order the virtual server with one OS and you need another one later, our technical support team can easily reinstall the VPS with the new one in a matter of minutes. We also offer the option to keep the Operating System on your server up-to-date on a weekly basis.
